Florence, April 26, 2020 - Solidarity arrives on a Harley. And she's wearing a leather vest with Iron Fist on it. It is the name of the Florentine bikers club that in these days of emergency is touring the city with the aim of helping the needy. The MC club gathers 40 motorcyclists with a great passion for two wheels who, in the face of the pandemic, have continued to take to the streets to bring food to people in need and support the homeless. Upon hearing the roar of American motorcycles, the Florentines look out the window and, at first, allow themselves to be carried away by stereotypes about the 'category': bikers, equal rock and trouble. But Iron Fists are another story. From leather bags, motorcyclists extract food, which is used to help those who cannot make it economically, those who have been left without a job due to quarantine, those who experience marginalization on their own skin. Leading the group is Pietro Bernardo, Roman by birth, Florentine by adoption. «Iron Fist - he says - were born as a recognized club in 2016, but the passion for Harleys made us meet earlier. We have thought about how to be useful in this difficult phase. And so we made ourselves available to voluntary associations with the aim of collaborating ". In fact, with the Italian Red Cross and the New Renaissance Association, the home delivery service for foodstuffs has started. It is not an easy rider, it is a social commitment and a great desire to help others. Source: https://www.lanazione.it/cronaca/harley-davidson-iron-fist-1.5124324
